Outdoor Decking Ideas & Considerations with Evette Rios

Interior designer and TV personality, Evette Rios recently completed the "deck of her dreams." In the video above, Evette reveals that the key to designing the perfect living space is to first think about how you are going to use the space. Once you know how your deck will function as an extension of your home, it becomes infinitely easier to decide what should go into the design.

For Evette's deck, she wanted to create a place where her large family could gather and spend time together. She designed her deck with various "rooms" to give definition and purpose to her space.

To start, she planned out a swim spa area, living room, dining room, outdoor kitchen, and a cosy, fireside seating area. Next, she looked for materials that were both design-forward and low-maintenance. Evette chose decking, railing, and an outdoor kitchen from the Trex outdoor living collection.
