The Inspiration

TrexPRO JR Tolley – Bespoke Decking Installations was tasked with designing and installing a multi-level residential deck that was both stylish and suitable for outdoor family living, especially during the summer months.

The Detail

This unique deck spans three levels, seamlessly flowing from the property’s bi-fold doors to the garden 2.5 metres below, complete with head-height access under its main level which needed to be high to maximise the evening sun. Each level is safely connected by custom-built feature staircases – including a direct access route from the first, highest level to the garden.

Trex Enhance Naturals in popular shade Rocky Harbor was utilised as the main colour for this deck thanks to its modern classic feel, with alternative shade Toasted Sand also featured in the deck to add character in a subtle way. The use of a second colour of deck boards was ideal for creating borders throughout the expansive deck, as well as for a unique inlay design which was carefully positioned to be in a focal point without overpowering the rest of the space.

Finishing touches to the deck included planters both sides of the staircase from the second to third levels as well as in-built benches on the lower level, ideal for looking out onto the garden. The property’s balcony was also boarded underneath to match the deck in a display of ultimate attention to detail.
