HOME GROWN

We manufacture all our decking in the United States. Our manufacturing facilities in Virginia, Nevada and Minnesota use the best available technologies for managing our environmental impacts on air, water and land. And we recycle nearly all our factory scrap back into the manufacturing process.

SPACE FOR NATURE

In 2020, expansion at our Virginia manufacturing campus included a new decking plant. There, a bioretention pond naturally takes care of stormwater runoff from the building and maintains a healthy ecosystem for local wildlife.

SAFETY IN OUR WORKPLACES

The year 2020 brought unprecedented challenges. At Trex, we prioritized our employees’ well-being to keep everyone in our offices and manufacturing facilities safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our response plan, which incorporated guidance and requirements from health authorities, allowed our essential manufacturing operations to operate safely and continuously. We found new ways to work by introducing measures such as social distancing, temperature scanners and stringent cleaning procedures.

And we were mindful that everyone needs time for family when dealing with the impacts of the pandemic. We provided flexible time for those affected by COVID-19 — whether to safely quarantine, recover from the virus, manage childcare or look after family members.
